Hans Rijntalder
Hans Rijntalder is an experienced consultant in the fields of climate, energy and environment. He has been involved in many Dutch projects related to consent and compliance including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA's), permits, environmental, chemicals and safety management systems. Since 2004 he is intensively involved in projects related to sustainable energy (for instance: wind power) for companies and authorities.
Hans Rijntalder graduated in Public Administration at the University of Rotterdam in 1990. After his graduation he completed a postgraduate study resulting in Master of Environmental Management. He started his career at the Crisis Research Team in Leiden (now The Hague). After this, he joined IWACO (International Water Consultants), where he worked in 's-Hertogenbosch as a consultant on Environmental Management. In 1996 he started an office in Enschede, the eastern part of the Netherlands, for IWACO. And in 2000 he became managing director of IWACO North in Groningen. After a merger with Royal Haskoning, he started in 2001 as a Business Group Director Environmental and Safety Management in Nijmegen. In 2007, he started Pondera Consult.
Currently Hans is president of the Commission Offshore Wind at the Dutch Wind Energy Association (NWEA). Besides, he is Permit Coordinator at the Koepel Windenergie Noordoostpolder.
