Koepel Windenergie Noordoostpolder
The Koepel Windenergie Noordoostpolder is a joint venture of several parties that want to develop a large-scale wind farm of more than 400 Megawatt in the North East Polder. This is one of the largest wind projects in Europe. The wind farm will be realized along the dikes of the north east polder, onshore as well as offshore. The initiative consists of a five separate initiatives. Pondera Consult is coordinating the Environmental Impact Assessment and the related zoning scheme.
Besides this Pondera Consult is involved in coordinating all required permits that are necessary for this project on behalf of the Koepel Windenergie Noordoostpolder. All permit applications have to be ready at the same time to be submitted for one round of public hearing. The reason behind this is that this project is one of the three so called national or state projects in the Netherlands with a special state project procedure. This state project procedure offers the central government the opportunity to coordinate decision making for projects of national importance.
